Nortel Networks Bay Stack
420-24 Switch
Description:
| The
BayStack 420-24T Switch is a stackable 10/100/1000 Layer 2 Ethernet
switch that combines high port density with low per-port pricing for
small- to medium-sized businesses and branch offices. A single 1U-high
unit supports 24 10/100 Mbps ports; a stack of 8 units, managed as a
single entity, supports up to 192 ports for a flexible, scale-as-needed architecture. |
Key
Features:
- Stackable 10/100/1000 layer 2 Ethernet switch provides 24
10BASE-T/100BASE-TX auto-sensing ports, 1 GBIC-based (Gigabit Interface
Converter) uplink slot, and built-in stacking connectors that reduce
cost by eliminating the need to purchase cascade modules.
- Full auto-sensing on every UTP port automatically detects and
supports the speed and mode of a connected device-10 Mbps or 100 Mbps,
half- or full-duplex.
- A scalable, stackable architecture enables up to 8 switches
to be connected with Gigabit cable to support up to 192 ports.
- Wire-speed performance is delivered by a 12.8 Gigabit per
second (Gbps) switching fabric and ASICs that filter and forward up to
5.1 million packets per second with no packet loss.
- Multiple fiber uplink options enable businesses to choose the
fiber interfaces that best serve their needs for medium and long-haul
connectivity to distant servers or a larger network.
